TheEasyWay

Privacy policy

Last updated October 18, 2026. Covers TheEasyWay for iPhone, TheEasyWay for Windows, and this website.

Short version: your files go from your phone to your computer and back over your own Wi-Fi. We run no server in between, we keep no account for you, and we collect nothing about you.

What the apps keep, on your own devices

None of this is sent to us.

What leaves your devices

The files you choose to send, to your own computer, directly over your local network, encrypted with TLS. The Windows app makes no connections to the internet. The iPhone app talks to the App Store only for the purchase (see below).

What we collect

Nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no crash-reporting service of ours in either app.

What the iPhone app asks permission for

Purchases

Unlocking sending is an in-app purchase handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple tells us how many copies were sold, not who bought them.

Apple and TestFlight

If you install a test build through TestFlight, or download the app from the App Store, Apple may collect usage and crash information under its own privacy policy. We receive it only in aggregate through App Store Connect, if at all.

This website

The site sets no cookies, runs no scripts, and loads nothing from other sites. It is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, sees the IP address of each visitor in routine delivery and security logs. The Windows download is served the same way.

Children

TheEasyWay is a utility for moving files and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a change that affects what we collect will be described plainly on the home page too.
